Michigan Week 7: Illinois

Well, Saturday's game wasn't pretty. But, a win is a win for this Michigan team. The narrative surrounding the Iowa game was a "must win' for the Jim Harbaugh era.

Now that they've won, everyone is unimpressed with it.

The defense garnered 3 interceptions on the day, and recovered a fumble. They sacked Nate Stanley 8 times. They held Iowa to ONE rushing yard.

But the offense looked atrocious.

Outside of a deep pass from Patterson early in the game, the offense kind of stalled. They scored 10 in the first half, and went their last 11 drives of the game without a single point. That was good enough of a performance to beat Iowa at home, but it won't be good enough to beat Penn St., Notre Dame, Michigan St. and Ohio St.
