Victor Vieth (J.D., M.A.), working with the Zero Abuse Project, is an internationally-recognized expert on child safety. Victor has trained thousands of child-protection professionals from all 50 states, two U.S. Territories, and 17 countries on numerous topics pertaining to child abuse investigations, prosecutions and prevention. Mr. Vieth will talk about criminals, criminal patterns, what's normal or abnormal behavior during child development. He'll also discuss the various forms of emotional abuse, and the effects that abuse can have in a child's life. Participants will learn how to talk with their kids about proper behaviors, what to look for when finding a day care or church, how to respond (and prevent) abuse, and strategies for effective discipline that reinforce child wellbeing. “So you can say, ‘I know how to keep my kids safe!’” - Rev. Peter Hagen Through our Saturday Seminar series, Resurrection Lutheran seeks to provide practical value to the parents, educators, and child-serving professionals of our community. People of every faith tradition are encouraged to attend & learn best practices for keeping kids safe.
