Jonas Gray: "I think [Marcus Freeman] brings great energy and authenticity to the program. He's a younger guy so he relates really well to the players, but he's also someone who they can really respect and look up to. I think that's important in this new age of NIL... He did a great job [after the loss to Northern Illinois] keeping the team focused and keeping the main thing the main thing, which was winning week to week... Teams are gonna have their ups and downs throughout a season, but the teams that are able to prevail through all that and block out the noise [are the ones that actually have a shot at a national title]."
