University of Texas Head Football Coach Steve Sarkisian stops by The Herd with Colin Cowherd as the NFL Combine is in full swing. He weighs in on the changes surrounding college athletics and gives his take on the upco0ming NFL Draft. Plus, he understands QB Arch Manning makes them a target due to his notoriety but he and his program are here for it.
Colin Cowherd: “All the eyes are on you guys with Arch Manning; 2-0 last year scoring 40! Steve, there are a lot of people; they’re going to come in hard and hot, early. How do you simmer that down?”
Steve Sarkisian: “Well, I think that’s why we’re here...We have 14 players at the NFL Combine this week. We had 11 last year which was a school record. 11 draft picks last season and, you know like I said, 14 more in this year’s NFL Combine so the reality of it is; this is why we’re here and we embrace this opportunity. We’re going to look forward to it. We’re going to go for it. We understand we’re going to get everybody’s best shot but again, that’s OK. That’s why our players chose to come to Texas.
